High-quality measurements guarantee cleaner wastewater
As the service contract partner of the Mikkeli plant, Endress+Hauser also maximizes the functionality of measurement during plant operation
The Mikkeli wastewater treatment plant was relocated to the new Metsä-Sairila waste treatment plant.
“With the relocation of the wastewater treatment plant the entire water purification process was made even more efficient and environmentally friendly. The ambitious objectives for the new plant also affected the requirements set for the project and the partners responsible for its implementation,” says Director of Mikkeli Waterworks Reijo Turkki, who commissioned the project.

Mipro Oy was in charge of process automation for the new plant, and Endress+Hauser supplied the complete instrumentation as part of this process automation. Endress+Hauser was selected as the equipment supplier based on its experience, wide range of products and comprehensive solution.
“Endress+Hauser is one of the few equipment suppliers in Finland that specialize in such broad solutions and water services. We supplied the new plant with hundreds of measuring devices for such things as critical flow, pressure, temperature and level measurement, as well as analyses that will be connected to the automation system supplied by Mipro,” says Sales Manager Martti Ikonen from Endress+Hauser.
Both Reijo Turkki from Mikkeli Waterworks and Aki Muinonen from Mipro Oy commend the cooperation model between Mipro, Endress+Hauser and maintenance. Cooperation with Endress+Hauser will also continue in the form of service and support contracts.
